Midfielders Varinder Singh, Arshdip Singh, and Arjandeep Singh earn national call-ups for the crucial four-match home series in Bhopal ahead of the U-18 Asia Cup.
Chandigarh — Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) continues to shine on the national stage as three of its talented athletes have been named in the 24-member Indian U-18 Men’s squad for the upcoming home test series against Australia.
Midfielders Varinder Singh, Arshdip Singh, and Arjandeep Singh have officially been selected by Hockey India to represent the nation in the highly anticipated four-match series, which is scheduled to be played at SAI Bhopal from May 15 to 20, 2026.
The three academy athletes earned their spots in the final 24-member squad following a week of rigorous evaluation during the national coaching camp, where an initial group of 42 core probables was narrowed down based on match fitness, consistency, and tactical adaptability.
This home series against Australia serves as a critical preparatory event and the ultimate dress rehearsal for the Indian squad ahead of the prestigious Men’s U-18 Asia Cup, which will be held in Kakamigahara, Japan, from May 29 to June 6.
“Having Varinder, Arshdip, and Arjandeep selected for this vital test series against a top-tier team like Australia is a proud moment for our academy,” said Rajinder Singh, Technical Lead, Roundglass Hockey Academy and Dronacharya Awardee. “These matches will provide them with invaluable international exposure, testing their match temperament and tactical discipline at the highest level before they head to the Asia Cup. Their selection is a testament to the continuous hard work they put in and the high-performance training environment we have cultivated at Roundglass.”
This latest achievement highlights Roundglass Hockey Academy’s systematic approach to elite player development and its ongoing commitment to producing world-class talent for the Indian national teams.
