At just 14, Guntas Kaur Sandhu is already beginning to reshape conversations around the future of Indian amateur golf.

The young golfer from Roundglass Golf Academy has rapidly emerged as one of the country’s brightest junior talents, climbing to the top of India’s Ladies Amateur merit rankings in 2025 after a string of standout performances on the national circuit.

But beyond rankings and podium finishes, Guntas’ rise represents something larger for Roundglass Golf Academy: the emergence of a long-term developmental vision now extending into golf.

Still in the early stages of her journey, Guntas has already shown remarkable consistency against older and more experienced competitors. Her performances across major amateur events have highlighted not only technical ability, but also maturity, composure and competitive temperament uncommon for her age.

Building Through the Roundglass Ecosystem

Guntas’ development has accelerated within the structured environment created at Roundglass Golf Academy in Chandigarh.

Under the guidance of experienced coaches and a high-performance support system, the emphasis has gone beyond tournament results alone. Technical refinement, mental conditioning, physical preparation and long-term athlete development have all become central to her growth as a golfer.

That philosophy mirrors the broader Roundglass sporting vision already visible across football, hockey and tennis - building pathways that allow young athletes to develop sustainably while competing at the highest levels.

For a sport like golf, where access to quality coaching, infrastructure and exposure can significantly shape a player’s future, that ecosystem becomes especially important.

Rising Through Indian Amateur Golf

The results are already beginning to follow.

One of the defining moments in Guntas’ young career came during her title-winning run at the Tamil Nadu Ladies and Girls Championship, a performance that helped propel her to the No. 1 position in India’s Ladies Amateur rankings.

She has since continued to impress with strong finishes across national tournaments, competing confidently against some of the country’s most accomplished amateur golfers despite being among the youngest players in the field.

International exposure has also become part of her growing journey, giving her opportunities to test herself in different competitive environments while continuing to sharpen her game.

For Roundglass Golf Academy, Guntas’ emergence is another reflection of what long-term investment in athlete development can create.

And while her journey is still only beginning, she is already becoming a powerful example of how talent, opportunity and the right environment can shape the future of Indian sport.
