When Hitesh Chauhan walked onto the clay courts at Roland-Garros Juniors, he carried more than just a racket and years of training.

He carried belief.

For the young Indian tennis player representing the Roundglass Tennis Academy, the 2025 junior Grand Slam season marked a significant breakthrough. Hitesh featured at three of the sport’s biggest stages: Wimbledon, Roland-Garros and the US Open Juniors. This was a milestone that reflected both his growing promise and the long-term development ecosystem supporting his rise.

And in Paris, under the pressure and intensity of Grand Slam tennis, the Ludhiana-born player showcased exactly why he is regarded as one of India’s exciting young prospects.

After a commanding opening-round victory, Hitesh found himself battling through one of the toughest matches of his career in the next round. Cramping heavily and struggling physically deep into the contest, he relied on composure and tactical intelligence to stay alive.

Instead of panicking, Hitesh adapted. He slowed the tempo, managed the physical strain smartly and stayed mentally locked in.

The ability to handle those moments has been shaped significantly by the environment around him at Roundglass Tennis Academy.

Since joining the academy in 2021 under coach Aditya Sachdeva, Hitesh believes his game and mentality have evolved consistently. Exposure to structured high-performance training, elite-level feedback and a strong support ecosystem helped prepare him for the demands of international junior tennis.

One of the most influential figures in that process has been Indian tennis star Yuki Bhambri, who has worked closely with Hitesh during training phases at Roundglass. Bhambri, who is also the brand ambassador of the Roundglass Tennis Academy, watched Hitesh’s match at Roland Garros and gave him advice on first-ball aggression and setting plays for pressure points, further reiterating the development pathway that we want to create at Roundglass.

The Making of Hitesh Chauhan

Hitesh’s journey in tennis began at the age of four-and-a-half after discovering the sport while accompanying his brothers to Khalsa College in Ludhiana. What started as childhood curiosity soon transformed into a serious pursuit.

By the age of eight, he was already defeating older players.

His parents played a defining role in nurturing that dream. His father, Bharat Bhushan Chauhan, invested heavily in his tennis development, while his mother Rekha Chauhan, a former track-and-field athlete herself, understood the sacrifices required to pursue sport seriously.

Today, those sacrifices are beginning to translate into tangible progress on some of the sport’s biggest stages.

From junior Grand Slam appearances at Wimbledon, Roland-Garros and the US Open to competing against some of the world’s top young players, Hitesh’s growth reflects the increasing strength of India’s emerging tennis ecosystem.

For Roundglass Tennis Academy, his journey is another example of what long-term athlete development, world-class guidance and a player-first environment can help unlock.

And with aspirations of breaking into the top tier of world tennis in the years ahead, Hitesh Chauhan’s story is only beginning.
